01Meet your instructor

Hi, I’mMark.

I teach manual driving lessons across East Sussex, and I take real pride in helping beginners become safe, competent drivers. I’ll teach you everything you need to reach an excellent test standard, at a pace that suits you.

Nervous? Lots of my learners are, to begin with. I keep lessons relaxed, explain everything step by step, and you’ll never be made to feel silly for a mistake. That’s how you learn.

03How it works

The route to your licence

  1. Get your provisional licence

    Apply on GOV.UK from 15 years and 9 months old. You can start driving on the road at 17.

  2. Your first lesson

    We start at your pace, somewhere quiet, with the basics: the controls, moving off and stopping. No pressure, no judgement.

  3. Build your skills

    Junctions, roundabouts, manoeuvres and busier roads, one step at a time. I’ll spot what needs work and we’ll fix it together.

  4. Pass your theory

    Multiple-choice questions and hazard perception clips. It costs £23, and you need it before you can book your practical test.

    We practise under test conditions so the real thing feels familiar. The practical test is £62 on a weekday.

How much are driving lessons?

Lessons are £46 an hour, or £445 for a block of 10 hours. Intensive courses start at £700 for 15 hours.

Do the prices include my driving test?

No. Test fees are paid to the DVSA, not to me. The theory test is £23 and the practical test is £62 on a weekday. You book both on GOV.UK.

Do you teach in a manual or an automatic?

Manual. Passing in a manual means you can drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards.

Where do you teach?

Across East Sussex. Send me your postcode with your enquiry and I’ll let you know straight away if I can fit you in.

I’m really nervous. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Lots of my learners start out anxious. We go at your pace, I explain everything step by step, and you’ll never be made to feel silly for a mistake.
