Cookie policy

Last updated 28 October 2026. The short version: no tracking cookies, no banner needed.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. Some are essential to make a site work; others track what you do for advertising or analytics. UK law says sites must ask your permission before using any cookies that aren’t strictly necessary.

What this website uses

We don’t use advertising cookies, social media trackers or Google Analytics. That’s why you won’t see a cookie banner on this site.

Visitor statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics

To see how many people visit and which pages they find useful, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookie-free: it doesn’t store anything on your device, doesn’t identify you, and doesn’t follow you around the web. It only gives us totals, such as page views and the type of device used. You can read more inCloudflare’s Web Analytics overview.

Security cookies from Cloudflare

Our host, Cloudflare, may occasionally set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from bots and abuse. These don’t track you and are exempt from consent because the site needs them to stay secure.

Spam protection on the form

The contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam. It checks you’re a real person, usually without you having to do anything. It doesn’t use cookies for advertising or tracking, and the information it gathers is only used to tell people and bots apart. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum.

Links to other websites

We link to GOV.UK and other sites for things like booking your tests. Those sites have their own cookie policies, which apply once you visit them.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though a security check may appear more often.
